High field magnetization in DyCu

摘要
High field magnetization measurements up to 60 T in a single crystalline DyCu rare earth and non-magnetic transition metal compound have been performed by using pulse magnets in Osaka University. The magnetization curves along [111], [110], and [100] axes show multistep behaviors due to spin rearrangement from the multiaxis spin structure of the ground state. For [111] directions, whole profile of magnetization curve with four metamagnetic transition is observed and the saturated moment is obtained to be 9.5 mu(B) for the first time. Possible spin structures in each phases are proposed from the relative value of the magnetization with introducing phenomenological assumptions.
