MIX DESIGN OF GEOPOLYMER COATING USING THE ORTHOGONAL DESIGN METHOD

摘要
This research studied the early-age physical properties of geopolymer, including fluidity, initial & final setting time and 1-day compressive strength. The orthogonal experimental design method was used to study the significance sequence of all influencing factors, including silica modulus of water glass solutions, water to solid ratio, concentration of sodium hydroxide, and the ratio of sodium hydroxide solution to water glass. A total of 16 mixes were tested, and the optimal mix proportion was determined based on the experimental and orthogonal analysis with an L-16(4(5)) orthogonal array. The geopolymer parameter W/S was found to be the most critical factor among all the factors which influence the physical properties of geopolymer.
