Synthesis and studies on copper(II) and lead(II) polyurethanes

摘要
Metal-containing polyurethanes have been synthesized by the reaction of mono(hydroxyethyl)quinolinate-copper(II) with isophorone diisocyanate/toluene diisocyanate and mono(hydroxyethyl)phthalate-lead(II) with isophorone dfisocyanate in DMF, and characterized by spectroscopic and thermal studies. The decomposition temperatures of these polymers were found to he significantly lower than those of metal-free polymers. However, the rates of decomposition of metal-containing polyurethanes were lower than those of polyurethranes having no metal atom.
