Research productivity and teaching effectiveness: MIS faculty

摘要
In order to determine if there are any relationships between MIS faculty teaching effectiveness and research productivity, a questionnaire was mailed to 600 MIS faculty throughout the United States. The response rate was 15.983%. After ascertaining that there was no non-response bias, correlations between teaching effectiveness were found to be generally low. Also, no significant differences in teaching effectiveness or research productivity were found with respect to institution size, number of MIS majors, or accreditation status, when viewed on an average annual basis.
