摘要：

Laser Doppler velocimeter (LDV) can be used to provide the true velocity over ground of a vehicle. In order to eliminate the influence of vehicle pitch on vehicle-based LDV, this paper designs a pitch independent vehicle-based laser Doppler velocimeter. The velocimeter emits two beams with an angle between them. The velocimeter can calculate the true velocity by using the two Doppler frequency and the included angle between the two beams. The results of the conveyor test show that the velocimeter can eliminate the influence of the vehicle pitch.
