THE IMPACT OF UNIVERSITY SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN THE UNIVERSITY OF CUENCA?S PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES

摘要
University social responsibility (USR) is a term used by researchers to define the principles of equality, ethics, solidarity and responsibility of the actors be-longing to the university context, which in the case of this research are the Universities and Polytechnic Schools (UEP) of the city of Cuenca-Ecuador and in which it is intended to determine the impact that USR has on them. This research was based on a non -ex-perimental design, using qualitative information ob-tained through consultation with experts and docu-ment review. The general sample design was based on the principles of convenience sampling. It was found that the results were favorable with respect to the dimensions analyzed, in which citizenship trai-ning, non-discrimination based on gender, race, so-cioeconomic level or political or sexual orientation, teaching about the national reality and the country's social problems, and that the universities offer their personnel a physical, human, pleasant and safe en-vironment, favoring the care of people, stand out.
