摘要
In the present article details are given on the RABA/IKARUS project. In this project Dutch technology for producing a compressed natural gas engine for use in buses is transferred to Hungarian industry. At the end of the project two CNG-powered buses will be available for service in public transport and demonstration. Both countries contributed to the initial investment which was necessary for the technology transfer. The main results of a baseline report, in which the potential for reduction of CO2-emission was estimated and which also dealt with other environmental benefits and socio-economic effects are summarized. Public transport in Budapest served as the case. It was calculated that fuel switch results in an overall 10% reduction in CO2-emission when compared with current type diesel buses in Hungary. Comments on methodological aspects of credit sharing are given. A crediting simulation of the project in the sense of Joint Implementation under the Climate Convention is presented.
