摘要
Thanks to the efforts of the respective medical associations, services in the areas of pain treatment and palliative medicine have been incorporated into the German DRG system as reimbursement items. Here, we would like to request that these services be documented wherever they are provided, whenever they are offered within the overall framework of treatment. Only when such services are documented can the InEK (Institut fur Entgelt-systeme im Krankenhaus (Institute for reimbursement systems in the hospital) calculate the relevant costs with an eye to the further development of the G-DRG system. The current calculation data show that the documentation of pain treatment services continues to leave much to be desired.
