Microwave Dielectric Properties of (Ca0.39Mg0.01) Sm0.4TiO3 Ceramics

摘要
High dielectric constant and low loss ceramics in the system (Ca0.39Mg0.01)Sm0.4TiO3 have been prepared by the conventional solid state route and their structure and microwave dielectric properties are investigated. The ceramics have lower density and dielectric constant than original Ca0.4Sm0.4TiO3 ceramics because of low molecular weight and smaller polarizabilities of Mg compared with Ca. However, the smaller intrinsic loss improves the Qxf value of Ca0.4Sm0.4TiO3 ceramics as the Mg2+ substitutes for Ca2+. Excellent dielectric properties are obtained for (Ca0.39Mg0.01)Sm0.4TiO3 sintered at 1460 degrees C: epsilon(r) = 89, Qxf = 20,500 GHz and tau(f) = 138 ppm/degrees C.
