We introduce a non-commutative Walsh system and prove that it forms a Schauder basis in the L-p-spaces (1 < p < infinity) associated with the hyperfinite III lambda-factors (0 < lambda <= 1). (C) 2013 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
