摘要
In the present study, an attempt was made to isolate and study the cellulolytic microorganisms from the soil under (Lagerstroemia speciosa Pers; Tectona grandis L.f.; Eucalyptus dives Schaver; and Albizzia procera Benth.) forest plantation at Chittagong University campus and a garbage centre located at Ananda Bazar, Halishahar, Chittagong. In Czapek's medium (with 2% CMC as carbon source) 71 bacterial colonies were detected. Out of these five bacterial strains were selected finally and studied in detail for cellulase, saccharification, biomass production and their identification was also attempted.
