Green supply chain management:: Inevitable choice of enterprises' sustainable development (ID: 2-022)

Nowadays, increasing environmental deterioration and resource exhaustion have become two global problems. Confronted with the economic globalization and the pressures, from the public, laws and environmental standards, the enterprises have to improve their environmental performance as well as economic performance if they want to survive in the 21st century and keep sustainable development. Recently, increasing attention is being paid to Green Supply Chain Management(GSCM), a sustainable development mode of modem enterprises. In this paper, after a simple introduction into the basic concept of GSCM, the components of GSCM are identified. And then, a systematical framework of GSCM is structured and illustrated. Finally, how to sucessfully implement GSCM is analyzed and some suggestions are proposed. The framework of GSCM as well as the measures suggested in this paper provides a reference for the enterprises to implement green supply chain management, thus improving their global competitiveness.
