摘要
Scant attention has been paid to the application of knowledge management logic to food supply chains. More typical is the analytic focus on the food supply chain or networks within the chain. This focus provides only an implicit recognition of the broader foundations for knowledge management and the expanse of the firm's intellectual capital. The next section provides a thumbnail sketch of the emergence of knowledge management as a new source of logic, capable of fostering hypotheses and analytic insights, and transcending the more mechanistic view of conventional supply chain analysis.
