摘要
The aim of this study was to investigate metabolite changes, antioxidant capacity and the anatomic features of two cotton seed genotypes (Latif and Golestan) under different irrigation regimes utilizing a randomized complete block with factorial treatment design. Data analysis was performed using SAS software, and the level of significance for the LSD test was set at p<0.05. The results showed that when Golestan cottonseed was water stressed there were higher concentrations of flavonoid, flavonol, proline as well as enhanced DPPH free radical scavenging activity and alpha amylase enzyme activity compared to Latif. Golestan seeds appeared to be more adaptable to water shortage when compared to Latif seeds.
