(Figure Presented) Mineralization chemistry: Cu2P20 and Cu5InP16 were synthesized by a mineralization reaction from the elements and binary starting materials. Cu2P20 is the first representative retaining the structural features of violet or fibrous phosphorus in a binary compound (see picture). Cu5InP 16 displays a previously unseen layered polyphosphide substructure built up of six-membered rings connected via four phosphorus bridges. © 2008 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
