摘要
The paper addresses the problem of image processing techniques used for conservation-restoration works from the Cultural Heritage. It compares the results of image processing obtained by using the histogram equalize and Retinex algorithms, by means of two metrics proposed by the International Commission of Illumination. The paper intends to stress some differences that exist between the uses of images processing techniques in art as compared to art conservation-restoration. The paper shows also that biological vision is a valuable source of inspiration for artificial vision, by addressing the problem of Color Constancy.
