摘要
The new information and communication technologies (ICT) are slowly reaching the educational field, but there are still some limitations in the use of these technologies due to accessibility difficulties in the tools that are used by the students. Nowadays, general-purpose PC-based applications are being used for distance education, these are not usually adapted to the requirements of disabled, elderly or people without previous knowledge about computers. Moreover, several types of barriers (accessibility, psychological) have to be saved if we want to make distance education for all kind a real possibility. This paper shows a distance education system which uses current ICT, and tries to overcome the barriers commented before with several characteristics that mask the PC standard problems. A set of characteristics has been developed in order to make the same software useful for elderly people, disabled people and beginners.
