摘要
This article begins a discussion about the contribution of the epistemic communities to the political decision-making process at a critical crossroads of the discussions about global climatic governance. It focuses on the approach to the Agenda 2030's negotiation, which is about sustainable development. A handful of inputs where assisted by internationally renowned experts, led by Johan Rockstrom. This contributed to the institutionalization of the most ambitious sustainable development objectives of all times. Is it argued that these scientists formed the "epistemic community of planetary limits" (EcPL). From them politicians can learn to adopt environmental values, a commitment to find a safe haven for humanity and a devotion to a sustainable development path. It is made evident that the epistemic communities contribute to the transformation of knowledge into politics, but the paradigm change depends on the politicians themselves.
