摘要
Photonic-crystal distributed-feedback gratings are employed to produce vertical emission from very-large-area mid-IR "W" lasers. For a FWHM pump-spot diameter of 400-mu m, approximate to 60% of the output is transmitted through a far-field aperture of diameter 1.8 degrees. (c) 2005 Optical Society of America.
