摘要
In sheet metal forming processes tribological conditions have a significant influence on the quality of the produced part, the tool life time as well as the process stability. Due to the contact pressures in the workpiece-tool interface, mixed lubrication is predominant. Thus, the appearing real contact area has a major influence on the frictional conditions. During the forming process the real contact area increases, because of the flattening of topography asperities. For the investigation of flattening behaviour and the so connected changes in friction a new modular test rig for strip drawing tests has been developed. To gain additional information about the contact behaviour of texturized sheet metal surfaces during the tests, it is possible to alternate between two different measurement setups to investigate changes in the workpiece-tool interface in-situ. In the first setup, an ultrasonic inspection system is used while the second setup is based on optical techniques. In this paper the two measurement setups and the planned investigations are described.
