A simplified perturbation solution of Michaelis-Menten kinetics equations in a "total" framework

摘要
A uniformly valid first order perturbation solution of the Michaelis-Menten kinetics equations in a total quasi-steady state setting is derived. This approximate solution has a simpler form than that obtained by Dell'Acqua and Bersani (J Math Chem 50:1136-1148, 2012). We also indicate an inconsistency in the perturbation equations obtained by these authors.
