摘要
Wheelchair basketball is a popular sport that promotes physical activity among individuals with physical disabilities. Due to the unique biomechanical aspects of the sport, players often experience shoulder injuries and pain that affect their athletic performance as well as their activities for daily living. Thus, this article provides sample exercises that can be used within a strength training program that targets the shoulder muscles. These exercises are particularly important for wheelchair basketball players to prevent and rehabilitate shoulder injuries. Wheelchair basketball mechanics and published shoulder strengthening training methods were considered throughout the development of these exercise components.
