摘要
Environmental risks exist in many aspects, affecting the quality of our daily life. This editorial introduced the background and initiative of editing this special issue, summarized the challenges of living with risks faced by humans, briefly introduced the innovative contribution of each paper published in this issue, and some concluding remarks regarding the way forward to meet the challenges were finally stated. Lacking adequate datasets to deal with the environmental uncertainties and the increased number of emerging contaminants are two of the biggest challenges faced by humans. However, the papers in this issue are supportive and valuable for seeking the sustainable living with various environmental risks.
