摘要：

The importance and applications of multilingual information systems are discussed. A multilingual information systems includes corpora, lexicons, and ontology. They enable to take queries in any language, search a collection of objects, and return the most relevant objects. The work on the 'Impact Analysis of Language Differences on an Automatic Multilingual Text Summerization System' has developed a bilingual automatic text summarization system and investigated the impact of language difference on the system.
