Magnetooptics and extraordinary transmission of the perforated metallic films magnetized in polar geometry

摘要
The problem of the light transmission through the periodical two-dimensional arrays of the nanosized holes in the ferromagnetic optically thin film has been addressed. In this case general approach for the calculation of the transmittance is discussed. Eigenmodes for the surface plasmon polaritons for the case of the film magnetized in polar geometry are found to be circular polarized waves. Dispersion law of the surface plasmon polaritons points out the effect of the light transmission enhancement. (C) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
