In the era of telecommunications, where there are no borders among countries, the necessity of acquiring a foreign language leads us to consider and meditate about the ease and difficulty to learn another language besides English, as well as the strategies needed to enhance it. The literature about this subject focuses on different aspects such as peculiarities of the brain and students' own age. This paper presents the opinion of foreign language teachers from the Language Centre of Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico, with over 20 years of experience in the classrooms. They describe the ease and difficulties they have observed in their students when learning a foreign language and the strategies used by themselves to enhance it. Findings suggest intrinsic and extrinsic motivation as one of the main factors in the ease or difficulty to learn a foreign language. Another important factor considers students' own learning styles.
