摘要
Density (rho) and viscosity (eta) were measured for the binary mixtures of cefodizime sodium + water and the ternary mixtures of cefodizime sodium +0.9 mass % normal saline at the temperatures (278.15, 283.15, 288.15, 293.15, 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15)K and at atmospheric pressure. The dependence of density and viscosity on temperature and concentration has been correlated with V T F equation. From the experimental data, apparent molar volumes, standard partial molar volumes, relative changes in viscosity, and the viscosity B-coefficient of cefodizime sodium were calculated. The results are used to analyze the nature of solute-solute. Using the Helper equation and the Jones-Dole equation, solute-solvent interactions and structure breaking effect of cefodizime sodium have been discussed. The results have been interpreted in terms of solute-solvent and solute-solute interactions and structure making/breaking ability of solute in the aqueous solution. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V.
