SURVEY OF FACE DETECTION AND RECOGNITION METHODS

Face detection and recognition is challenging problem in image analysis and computer vision. In the last few years it has received a great attention because of its many applications based on various methods, in different fields such as law enforcement, security and so on. Face detection can be broadly divided into three categories based on the face data acquisition methodology using well known, Viola Jones with AdaBoost classifier, SMQT features with split up SNoW classifier and color based methods. For face recognition using methods based on principles component analysis, support vector machine (SVM) and others. So, in this paper, will be overview well-known methods and provided some of its benefits and weaknesses.
