Elastic moduli determination through IR spectroscopy for zinc substituted copper ferri chromates

摘要
The use of the infrared (IR) spectroscopy to determine elastic moduli of zinc substituted copper ferri chromates was discussed. The bulk modulus and longitudinal velosity values determined through IR spectroscopy, x-ray density and pore fraction values through x-ray diffraction analysis, were used to calculate the elastic moduli. The Debye temperature, shear and mean sound velocities were also possible to determine thorough IR spectral analysis. It was observed that the Debye temperature obtained from elastic constant data was higher than that of the x-ray Debye temperature.
