Monitoring and analysis of changes of wetlands and tidal flat environment in the Yangtze River estuary

摘要
Integrating remote sensing, geographic information system, we carried through the monitoring of changes of,wetlands and tidal flats environment in the Yantytze River estuary over the period of 1987-2001. Based on the method of multi band principal components transform and change vector analysis we discover the information of changes which then are extracted by applying the way of threshold and man-machine interactive interpretation. By these methods of interpretation and contrast the TM images from 1987 to 2001 in the Yangtze River estuary, the primary rule of wetlands and tidal flats evolution in entire Yangtze River estuary are found based on the analysis result, which is that the entire Wetlands and tidal flats extend to the cast and the coastwise beach ceaselessly spreads, at the same time the Yangtze River estuary shrinks and moves out gradually.
