摘要
Effect of inoculating rice (Oryza sativa L.) with mycorrhizal fungi (Glomus mosseae) was studied using potted seedlings. Vegetative growth and reproductive traits were compared between inoculated and non-inoculated plants. Result showed that there was a high mycorrhizal dependency of the rice on G. mosseae. Mycorrhizal fungal inoculated rice seedlings grew significant better compared to non-mycorrhizal controlled seedlings, and had increased height (34%), shoot biomass (122%), root biomass (590%) at maximum tillering stage, and grain yield (9.7%) at harvesting stage. Plant architecture and reproductive traits were changed by mycorrhizal fungi inoculation. Rice inoculated with G. mosseae invested more in the root development for effective nutrient absorption, which was the fundamental to achieve the maximum grain yield. G. mosseae was available to form an association with rice plant. The symbiosis of mycorrhizal fungi and rice would be of benefit to crop growth and grain yield.
