摘要
Gene Expression programming (GEP) is a new evolutionary algorithm, which has been widely applied in the field of knowledge discovery and rule exploration in large data warehouse, and has achieved some desirable results. This paper analyses the basic principles of GEP, and makes some improvement on its conventional way of creating constant. To validate and improve the performance of the algorithm, this paper applies the improved GEP in the solution of the macroeconomic prediction. The results indicate that improved GEP can automatically rind preferable models, based on which exact prediction will be generated.
