摘要
We present, in theory and experiment, a class of non-diffracting and self-healing optical beams whose central spot can be designed to follow off-axis curved trajectories. The intensity of the generated waveform can traverse a spiral path with the possibility of reversing its handedness and changing its longitudinal intensity pattern with propagation, on demand. The central spot can also be designed to evolve from a straight to a curved snake-like trajectory and vice versa. Such flexible level of control can be useful for many applications in atomic guiding, optical trapping, and material processing. Published by AIP Publishing.
