摘要
Despite the popularity of mobile applications, the research regarding their usage and non-usage is scarce. With increasing competition, the Application Life Cycle (ALC) is becoming smaller for a number of applications. The purpose of this paper is to study and identify the factors that lead to uninstallation of an application or smaller ALCs. User preference of mobile phone application depends on Telecom infrastructure, Smartphone hardware specifications, the User interface of applications, Data privacy and security aspect of mobile application, and usage of the application based on trends and advertisements. A questionnaire was prepared to identify the factors related to ALC, further hypotheses were tested to reach a conclusion. The study assisted in finding the factors for the decline of mobile application life cycle as well as its non-usage and thus helps to understand the user behavior. (C) 2017 The Authors.
