Analysis and Control of DC-Capacitor Voltages for the Neutral-Point Clamped Rectifier

This paper introduces a current regulator for a three-phase Neutral-Point Clamped rectifier. The current regulator maintains power quality parameters at both sides of the rectifier for any perturbed conditions. The controller adapts itself according to any change in load or supply voltage. The current controller senses the DC-bus potential difference and modifies the input controlling signals to generate desired gate pulses for driving the converter efficiently. Simulation results exhibit the effectiveness of the newly proposed control technique under various operating conditions.
