An electrochemical immunosensor was constructed for the sensitive determination of tris(2,3-dibromopropyl) isocyanurate. The analyte was first conjugated with ovalbumin. The conjugates were immobilized on the electrode surface through a chitosan membrane to compete with tris(2,3-dibromopropyl) isocyanurate in solution for specific immunoreaction with an antibody, followed by the immobilization of horseradish peroxidase-labeled secondary antibody. Finally, with the addition of hydrogen peroxide and hydroquinone, changes in the cathodic current were recorded. Under optimal conditions, tris(2,3-dibromopropyl) isocyanurate was determined in the range from 0.01 to 1M with a correlation coefficient of 0.9956, and a detection limit of 8.6nM. The immunosensor exhibited good precision, sensitivity, selectivity, and storage stability.
