This paper describes advance techniques that can be used to Predict ring spun yam strength from HVI/FMT measured properties of cotton fiber such as span length, bundle strength, fineness, uniformity ratio and maturity of cotton fibers. A neuro-fuzzy network and multiplelinear regression techniques and Sitra's expressions have been used to predict yam strength. The results conclusively prove the superiority of neuro-fuzzy method over multiple-linear regression techniques and Sitra's expressions.
