摘要
To investigate the relationship between speech transmission index (STI) and subjective Chinese speech intelligibility score of elderly people, subjective Chinese speech intelligibility evaluations were conducted under different conditions combining reverberation and interfering noise. The results show that Chinese speech intelligibility score of elderly people increases with STI and is 30% lower than that of young people averagely under the same acoustical conditions. Age, reverberation time and signal-to-noise ratio have significant influence on the Chinese speech intelligibility score. And signal-to-noise ratio has the greatest influence. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd.
