摘要
Globalization of the cities is the result of the globalization of the entire human society. It is a phenomenon of our age, which has historical roots and context. If more advanced is the society, then more intensively is the globalization manifesting itself in various areas of human existence. Most of the cities in well developed countries are characterized by unprecedented dynamics of internal restructuring, which is significantly formed by globalization. New understanding of urban space brings new typological types of buildings. As a part of this process, and as a consequence of this process, multifunctional centers are appearing in the urban structures. Their existence in the cities in general contributes to the certain homogenization, but it should not always lead to universalization. Globalization of the cities contributes to the fundamental changes in the way of citizen's life, to increase their mobility. In globalized multifunctional buildings, there are the disparate functions represented independently and autonomously, despite of their needs for interaction. Multifunctional megastructures cannot become non-human monsters. Public spaces enter directly into the organism of a multifunctional complex, to bring for the people working, residing, recreating, or studying in these multifunctional building complexes enough possibilities for quality of life, mobility. Visionary projects become reality and they present multifunctional centers as islands preserving a healthy and sustainable living within the organism of the city.
