New Discrete-Time Variable Structure Control of Irregular ATMD-Structure via Kalman Filter algorithm

摘要
For the large scale irregular structure with active tuned mass damper (ATMD), it is nearly impossible for the measurement of structural states (such as displacement and velocity) to install enough sensors on each story. As such, designing the Kalman filter to predict the unknown structural states, a new discrete-time variable structure control method with static output feedback is proposed in the paper for the dynamic response suppression of the irregular ATMD-structure subjected to the multi-dimensional earthquake waves.The effectiveness of the new method is testified by application to a three story shear-type irregular frame installed with two ATMDs. The simulation results show that the proposed control method can suppress the structural vibration effectively and estimate the partial unknown state responses of the ATMD-structure accurately.
