摘要
This work is intended to report the research and development activities in geometric modelling and product data management carried out during the last 15 years. First, the evolution of the modeling methodology developments, from the wire frame models based on cubic splines to the surface models based on NURBS is described. The developed methods were applied to the modelling of the hull form, the compartments and the structures. Next, are presented the information modeling developments based on STEP standards and XML. Finally, are reported the results of some work on reverse engineering, namely of surface reconstruction applied to ship repair.
