Optimization of the ion-optical components for the new Cracow scanning nuclear microprobe

摘要
The new scanning nuclear microprobe (MP) with a short probe forming system (total length l=2.3 m) has been installed at the 3 MV van de Graaff accelerator in Cracow. The effective ion-optical geometry is proposed for the main components of the MP facility. This provides the expected microbeam brightness at the target, The features of the beam focusing in the probe forming system are shown. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
