Structural, theoretical and multinuclear NMR study of mercury(II) and silver(I) complexes with two new ambidentate phosphorus ylides

摘要
Reactions of new alpha-ketostabilized phosphorus ylides of the type Ph3P = CHC(O)R (R = 2,4-dichlorophenyl (O) and 4-isopropylphenyl (L-2)) with AgNO(3)and Hg(NO3)(2).H2O, using methanol as a solvent, are reported. The crystal structures of L-2 and [Ag(L-2)(2)(NO3)] (2) have been determined. Characterization of the obtained compounds was also performed by elemental analysis. IR, H-1, P-31 and C-13 NMR. Theoretical studies were carried out on the silver(I) complexes. It was shown that the nitrate ion shows a bonding interaction with the silver ion. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
