摘要
We need to understand the novelty of contemporary migrations in order to be able to regulate them with criteria of justice. To do so, we need to consider the global geopolitical scale, the long historical duration and our ecological link with the biosphere. Plants, animals and humans migrate, the latter because of violence, inequality and environmental degradation. Climate change is already the main cause of species extinctions and human migrations. Therefore, we must institute a global social and environmental justice that simultaneously protects people, future generations, species and ecosystems.
