This work problematizes notions and instruments of the project praxis of the recent op-erations of construction of social housing in Argentina. It is hypothesized that there is a direct relationship between the scope of the architectural program and the functional capacity of housing models to assimilate recent social transformations in the dynamics of living. How have traditional patterns entered into crisis to characterize the recipients, and what dimensions should the programmatic construction of social housing today question from imaginary meanings? From the recent advances in relation to a specific epistemological field for the production of disciplinary knowledge -the Complex Program for Project Research- and articulat-ing specialized voices in families, systemic changes and new ways of living, a bibliographic discussion is proposed aimed at identifying the parameters still in force that determine limits in the program-project relationship.
