摘要：

A new species, Polygala judithea (Polygalaceae) subgenus Polygala series Ericoideae, is described from Chapada dos Veadeiros, Goias, Brazil. The infrageneric placement and its conservation status are assessed and its habitat and phenology are discussed. The new species is compared with its morphologically allied species, P. obovata and P. multiceps. Illustrations, photographs and a distribution map are also provided.
