摘要
A total of 1796 magnitude estimates are presented for the recently discovered long-period (P=65 days) Cepheid V1496 Aql, obtained using the photographic plate collections of the Maria Mitchell Observatory, the Harvard College Observatory, and the Sternberg Astronomical Institute. The data, in combination with 83 photoelectric observations obtained at Mount Maidanak (Uzbekistan) and the South African Astronomical Observatory, cover a time baseline in the resulting O-C data for the variable spanning an interval of about 110 years. That circumstance allowed us to conduct a study of period changes in V1496 Aql, which appear to be dominated by random fluctuations in pulsation period.
