摘要
The virtual reality application usually involves automatic roaming. Camera instability is a problem that occurs frequently to automatic roaming, resulting in abrupt change and jittering of vision field. In this paper, a method based on Cardinal spline interpolation is proposed to solve this problem. Given the path controlling points, we first compute a set of high-density interpolate points through Cardinal spline interpolation. Then, the camera's moving speed is used to choose interpolation points which can guarantee that the camera moves at pre-determined speed along the curve. The camera's angle is controlled through linear interpolation. And the intermediate data is stored using the XML file. Finally, an example is taken to compare the proposed algorithm with other methods. The comparison results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
