摘要：

Respiratory manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus (SI-E) are frequent. The 'shrinking lung syndrome' (SLS) represents a rare complication of SLE. The pathogenesis and therapy of the SLS remains controversial. We report a series of five consecutive cases with the SLS of which we provide a detailed description of the extent and dynamics of the response to corticosteroid therapy.
