We report the case of a 53-year-old man with a history of diabetes treated by diet and occasional smoking who presented facial palsy with left ophthalmoplegia. In addition, the patient had an intracranial hypertension syndrome with scattered subcutaneous nodules. Biopsy of the nodules gave the diagnosis of Burkitt's lymphoma. Computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging revealed involvement of the left cavernous sinus. Fine cytology of the lumbar puncture identified lymphoma cells. Subsequent thoraco-abdomino-pelvic CT showed multiple ganglions above and below the diaphragm associated with lung, liver and kidney involvement. The patient was given the standard chemotherapy for Burkitt's lymphoma. (C) 2013 Published by Elsevier Masson SAS.
